David Dennis, CPA, Partner
and Founder
David Dennis, CPA, Partner
and Founder of Dennis & Associates, P.C., has more
than 20 years of experience in accounting and has been
in private practice for more than 15 years. The son of
an accountant, David holds a B.S. in accounting from Suffolk
University. David serves as the financial advisor and
sits on the board of directors for several client accounts.
He is also involved in several nonprofit organizations
throughout the Boston area as well as many national and
local professional organizations such as the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts
Society of Public Accountants.

Michelle Cote, CPA, Partner
Michelle Cote, CPA, has been
a Partner of Dennis & Associates for over six years
and has been a CPA for more than 15 years. Her past positions
include: Audit manager at Ernst &Young LLP; Manager
of investment accounting at Keyport Life; and Controller
at Independent Financial. Michelle holds a B.A. from Brandeis
University and an M.S. in accounting from Northeastern
University. Actively involved in the communities she serves,
Michelle is a Rotarian, is active in the South Shore Women’s
Business Network and is also on the Board of Directors
for the Woodward School for Girls.

Stanley R. Dennis, CPA, Senior Accountant
Stanley R. Dennis is a Senior
Accountant at Dennis & Associates. Stanley has been
a professor of accounting and taxation at Suffolk University
for more than 25 years. He has a Masters Degree in accounting
and 30 years of experience in accounting and taxation.
His combined industry experience and his unique understanding
of business and investments, make him a great mentor for
our firm. Stanley currently sits on the Board of Trustees
at Suffolk University and is a past trustee of Quincy
Hospital.

Peter Yngve, Associate & CPA
When Peter Yngve joined Dennis
& Associates 10 years ago as an Associate he brought
with him 40 years of experience in the accounting industry.
As a CPA, Peter is an integral part of our quality assurance
practices. Utilizing his experience, he mentors the accountants
and is rewarded by seeing our product being its best.
Peter began his accounting career working for small CPA
firms in Boston before opening his own practice, which
he owned for 28 years before joining Dennis & Associates.
Peter attended Bentley College and Northeastern University
where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.
He lives in Weymouth with his wife, Ingrid, and has two
children, Kyle and Karlyn. In his spare time Peter enjoys
spending time outdoors and gardening.

John McManus, Senior Accountant
John McManus has been a Senior
Accountant at Dennis & Associates for more than two
years. John is a traditional accountant who is responsible
for accounting, financial statements and preparing tax
returns for corporations and individuals alike. He understands
the accounting function and is adept in various accounting
software programs, which enables him to provide fast and
proficient client service.
John recently passed the CPA exam and will receive his
license in July 2004. He has a bachelor’s degree
in Business Management from Bridgewater State College
and an advanced Certificate of Accounting from UMASS Boston.
John is on the advisory board of the Salvation Army of
Quincy and is an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
He lives in Quincy with his wife, Erin, and their twin
daughters, and enjoys playing golf and traveling in his
spare time.

Jolene Tangherlini, Bookkeeper and
QuickBooks® Specialist
Jolene Tangherlini has been
with Dennis & Associates since 2001 as the company’s
Bookkeeper and Quickbooks® Specialist. Jolene is responsible
for both on-site and in-house bookkeeping processes. Her
position includes training in-house bookkeepers, users
and owners on QuickBooks, whether they require basic,
intermediate or advanced coaching. She especially loves
the organizational and solution providing aspect of her
work at Dennis & Associates.
Prior to joining Dennis & Associates, Jolene spent
nine years as a bookkeeper and QuickBooks® specialist.
In her position she was responsible for all office operations,
accounting and office management. She also served in an
administrative role with the Coast Guard Auxiliary. Jolene
is actively invested in her professional success, having
taken accounting courses at both Quincy College and Bridgewater
State College. She lives in Braintree with her son, Dorion,
and enjoys fishing and spending time with family.

Josephine Vidal, Office Manager
Josephine Vidal has worked
with Dennis & Associates since its inception. As Office
Manager she provides daily bookkeeping needs while maintaining
a high-quality relationship with the clients. Josephine
serves as the traffic control manager for Dennis &
Associates: if she does not know the answer, she will
direct you to the person who can help. Josephine has enjoyed
seeing Dennis & Associates grow since its inception.
She feels most rewarded when the company’s dedication
to quality and service translates into satisfied clients
and referrals.
Josephine, who has nearly 30 years of experience in the
accounting industry, was previously employed as an Office
Manager for another CPA firm, as well as a Bookkeeper
for the National Guard. She has furthered her career knowledge
with accounting and tax classes at Quincy College as well
as QuickBooks® software classes.
A mother of three and a grandmother of four, Josephine
enjoys being an active member of the community. She serves
as the Treasurer of the Kiwanis Club in Quincy and sits
on the Fundraising Committee for the Maria Droste Social
Service Agency. She is also the past ambassador to the
South Shore Chamber of Commerce. During her free time,
Josephine enjoys camping and spending time with her grandchildren.

Kathie McMahon, Payroll Specialist
When Kathie McMahon joined
the Dennis & Associates team three years ago, she
brought more than 20 years of office management experience
to her position. Kathie is responsible for the payroll
functions associated with the payroll clients. These duties
include client contact, inputting hours, working with
the Advantage system and overseeing all tax-related payroll
issues. She handles all client inquiries regarding payroll
and payroll processing. Her attention to detail and experience
are an asset to the company and clients alike. Kathie
enjoys the day-to-day contact with the clients and feels
rewarded in the knowledge that she is a vital member of
a professional, vibrant team at Dennis & Associates.
Prior to joining Dennis & Associates, Kathie spent
five years as a Staff Specialist at Quincy College. She
also has experience as an Office Manager at a construction
company. A graduate of Boston’s Burdett School of
Business, Kathie lives in Quincy. She has three children:
Stephen, Elizabeth and Tim.
